Leading logistics, materials and operations management specialist ASCO has strengthened its global Lifting Assurance training network with the appointment of Technical and Administrative Training Institute LLC, Oman (TATI), one of the largest private training organisations in the Sultanate of Oman, as the first approved partner under its Approved Training Provider Scheme.
The milestone sees TATI Oman achieve approved status to deliver training backed by ASCO’s proprietary NSL Standard, a globally recognised benchmark for lifting operations, competence and assurance. It establishes TATI Oman as ASCO’s first approved delivery provider in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Supporting this capability, TATI Oman has embedded an ASCO approved Trainer into its operations ensuring training quality and standards are consistently maintained.
The announcement follows ASCO’s recent expansion into the Middle East with the opening of its first regional office in Doha, Qatar. Together, the Qatar office and TATI Oman approved provider status reflect ASCO’s growing regional commitment and its focus on supporting customers with specialist logistics, materials, marine, environmental and lifting assurance capability across key energy and infrastructure markets.Training will be delivered from TATI's facility in Barka, Oman and will cover Lifting Equipment Inspector (LEI) programme Modules 1–6. This includes General Lifting Equipment, Winches and Powered Hoists, Pedestal and Mobile Cranes (Bolt on Lorry Loaders), Overhead Travelling Cranes, Runway Beams & Swing Jibs, Forklift Trucks and Stackers (Bolt on MEWPS), and Containers, Baskets and CCUs.

Andy Rodden, Head of Lifting Assurance – Intervention & Training at ASCO, said:
“ASCO's NSL Standard has built its reputation on technical rigour, practical competence and trusted assurance. By appointing TATI as our first approved training provider in the GCC, we are expanding access to that standard while ensuring the quality and consistency of delivery remains firmly controlled. TATI has successfully completed a rigorous assessment and verification process, and we look forward to working with them to support the development of lifting competence across Oman and the wider region.”
Ayman Ghanayem, Senior General Manager at TATI Oman, said: "Achieving approved training provider status under ASCO’s NSL Standard is a significant milestone for TATI. It strengthens our ability to deliver internationally recognised lifting assurance training from Oman and supports our commitment to raising competence, safety and operational standards across the GCC. We are proud to partner with ASCO and to play a role in making this specialist training more accessible to organisations in the region.”
