Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. has received a proposal for an area in Sector 2: SHO EAST of the Open Acreage offshore Suriname.
In accordance with the Open-Door Process, qualified companies have the opportunity to submit a competing proposal in this sector.
The submission period for competing proposals began Tuesday, July 07, 2026 and will remain open for 90 days, closing on Monday, October 05, 2026, at 10:00 AM GMT-3.
The announcement means Staatsolie has now received proposal activity across three offshore sectors in less than a month. A proposal was received for Sector 4: DW WEST on June 17. Two separate proposals were received for Sector 3: DEMERARA on July 6.
