Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products plan to set up a joint venture to produce and distribute technical and rare gases in March 2019, media reports.

This decision was made at a meeting of the chairman of the board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz Bahodirjon Sidikov and the executive vice president of Air Products, Samir Serhan.

This initiative was proposed during last year’s visit by the President of Air Products, Safi Gassemi, to Uzbekistan. Since then the parties have conducted joint marketing research and studied the demand for technical and rare gases in Uzbekistan and in foreign markets.

Uzbekneftegaz is an Uzbek holding corporation engaged into the exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and sale of oil and gas. The company is the 11th largest producer of natural gas in the world.

Air Products is a global supplier of atmospheric, technical and specialty gases, chemical materials and technologies. The company operates in 50 countries of the world, owns more than 750 productions.
