On the 15th of June, as part of the International Wind Day, RES inaugurates the Rosières wind farm in the presence of Elisabeth Gerquin, Vice-President of the Departmental Council of the Meuse and County Councilor of the Canton of Ligny en Barrois and Jean-Marie Bouchon, Mayor of Chanteraine.

The Great East: a dynamic territory and involved in the energy transition

The Grand Est is at the heart of the building with 3373 MW of wind power installed at the end of 2018, which represents 6,292 GWh of clean electricity production, providing 13.80% of electricity consumption in 2018.

The RES company contributes to this regional dynamic, particularly with the Meuse department, the Trois Sources wind farm located in the Bonnet and Houdelaincourt communes commissioned in 2007 and the Haut du Saule wind farm, whose construction site will begin before the start of the year. end of this year on the communes of Maulan and Nant-le-Grand.

The Rosières wind farm consists of 8 Vestas V100 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 2.2 MW and a total power of 17.6 MW. It saves 25,520 tonnes of CO2 per year and clean electricity needs of more than 22,400 people each year, more than the population of Verdun.

Participation in the economic development of territories

Work on the Rosières wind farm started in March 2018 for full commissioning of the park in December 2018.

As for all its projects, RES has surrounded itself with its historical partners: RAZEL BEC, ENGIE, TECH INTER, VESTAS but also favors partnerships with local companies. Thus, a large part of the investment went to businesses in the region such as the company CALIN, ENGIE based near Nancy. It's 37% at the Regional level, 15% at the local level. In total, nearly 140 people worked on the site and on average 12 daily.

The event marks the culmination of seven years of collective and collaborative work.
