Frontier CEO Meets Tikki Hywood Foundation Team in Zimbabwe

31/12/2019

On the 3rd December, Frontier CEO, Gayle Meikle, met with Lisa Hywood and the team of the Tikki Hywood Foundation in Harare at their headquarters in Zimbabwe. The Tikki Hywood Foundation was one of the chosen beneficiaries of the funds raised at the Big Five Board Awards 2019 Charity Auction held in November this year.

Frontier CEO, Gayle Meikle with ikki Hywood Foundation CEO & Founder, Lisa Hywood at the foundation headquaters in Harare, Zimbabwe.

During the visit, Gayle spoke with Lisa Hywood , CEO & Founder of the Tikki Hywood Foundation, about the plight of the pangolin and the heartbreaking brutality of how they are captured and trafficked. Did you know a large percentage of pangolin meat from Africa is illegally smuggled into Europe, an illicit trade that needs to be stopped.

The funds raised at the Big Five Charity Auction in London will go directly to a pangolin sanctuary being built in Cameroon, the first of its kind in the country and in fact the region.

Frontier CEO, Gayle Meikle, commented,
"Lisa is an incredible woman and an inspiration. To be involved in the Tikki Hywood Foundation is a privilege for Frontier.

Thank you again to everyone who contributed and attended the Big Five Board Awards. All proceeds from the charity auction were equally divided amongst our chosen charities and they all received every penny of their equal share."

Lisa Hywood, CEO & Founder, Tikki Hywood Foundation, said,
“Through your support, projects such as the establishment of our rescue, rehabilitation and release center in Cameroon have become a reality and not just a dream."

As part of the Big 5 Awards Charity Auction, PGS secured access to KeyFacts Energy's 'Energy Country Review' resource for students and staff at Agostino Neto University, Angola.
