  • Sparrows Group has promoted Adam Wood to its most senior role in the Americas as it looks to continue its diversification into the onshore industrial market in the region.
  • px Group announced two major new additions to its Senior Leadership Team. Garry Lewis joins the company as Chief Strategy Officer, and Mark Hobbs joins as Managing Director, Offshore Oil & Gas.
  • Marco Wirén, President of Wärtsilä Energy Business, Executive Vice President, and a member of the Board of Management, has decided to leave Wärtsilä for a position outside the Group on 1 September 2020.
  • Gro Haatvedt will leave her executive role as VP of Exploration and Development at the end of September 2020 but will remain with Neptune Energy as Distinguished Advisor.
  • Tove Andersen has been elected as a new member to Equinor’s board of directors.
  • Weatherford International announced that Mark A. McCollum, President, Chief Executive Officer and a director, has left the Company, effectively immediately. Karl Blanchard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Christian Garcia, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will form the Office of the Chief Executive, reporting directly to the Board of Directors and will oversee the day to day operations. 
  • Dr Robert Trice resigned as Chief Executive Officer and a director of Hurricane by mutual agreement with the Board, although will remain available to assist the Company during a transition period of six months.
  • Block Energy announced that the current Technical Director, Roger McMechan, has stepped back from his executive position to pursue his other interests with effect from 3 June and the company has appointed Ritchie Wayland to fill the role.
  • Even Larsen has accepted a new role as Director of Offshore Wind with Ocean Installer, starting from August 1st. 
  • Sasol announced the appointment of Priscillah Mabelane as Executive Vice President: Energy Business, effective 1 September 2020.
  • Steve Greenlee, president of ExxonMobil Upstream Business Development Company, has elected to retire on July 1 after more than 38 years of service. 
  • Neptune Energy announced Mehdi Bouguetaia will be joining the company to take on the role of Algeria Managing Director, based in Algiers.
  • Dr Carl Trowell is to be appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer of Acteon Group, succeeding Richard Higham.
  • BP announced that David C. Lawler, CEO of bpx energy, will add to his portfolio the responsibilities of chairman and president of bp America Inc., succeeding Susan Dio on July 1, 2020. 
  • Magseis Fairfield has announced that Mark Zajac will assume the position as CTO with effect from 1 June 2020.
  • Iceland GeoSurvey (ÍSOR) has appointed Árni Magnússon as CEO of the company. He will take over the job on July 1, 2020 from Ólafur G. Flóvenz.
  • ConocoPhillips announced the retirement of Don E. Wallette, Jr. as executive vice president and chief financial officer after a successful 39-year career with the company. 
  • Murphy Oil has announced that Walter K. Compton, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, will retire from the company effective June 1, 2020. The current Vice President, Law and Corporate Secretary, E. Ted Botner, will be assuming Mr. Compton’s responsibilities in addition to maintaining his current duties under the new title Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. 
  • The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) confirmed the appointment of Nadine Robinson (pictured below) to lead the Association’s strategy on environmental sustainability.
  • Impact Oil and Gas announced the appointment of John Anthony Copelyn as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board with effect from  17 May 2020.
  • Cairn announced that its Chairman, Ian Tyler, has indicated to the Board that, having served on the Board for seven years, six of them as Chairman, and mindful of good corporate governance practice, it is his intention to retire from the Board once a successor has been appointed.
