Aker BP and Wellesley granted consent for exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea

Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Aker BP consent for exploration drilling in Block 6607/12 in the Norwegian Sea. Well 6507/4-1 will be drilled to test the Warka prospect in production licence PL 1009.

The well is scheduled to take 87 days and will be drilled by the Leiv Eiriksson.

Wellesley has also recieved consent for exploration drilling in Block 6204/11 in the Norwegian Sea. Well 6204/11-3 will be drilled to test the Schweinsteiger prospect in production licence PL 829.

The well is scheduled to take 37 days and will be drilled by the Borgland Dolphin.
