European Energy has officially opened its new office in Italy, located in the heart of Milan. The move is the latest in European Energy’s strategy to establish local offices across key markets.
Knud Erik Andersen (pictured above), CEO of European Energy, says:
”It is a big day for us to open up our first office in Italy and a sign of our high expectations for the Italian market. Earlier this year, we grid connected the biggest solar power plant in Italy to date, and we are currently installing additional 20 MW project in Puglia with our latest tracker technology. I am confident that we will see many new Italian projects in the coming years.”
European Energy has been active in Italy since 2008 and has already completed several wind power projects in the country. Due to the high level of solar radiation compared to Northern Europe, the country offers promising solar opportunities. Head of Italian Projects Alessandro Migliorini is confident that Italy has strong growth potential for European Energy:
”With a project pipeline of more than 1,5 GW, Italy is a key market for European Energy. We are confident that European Energy can play a positive role in Italy’s green transition plans and also be a strong driver for growth at a time where the country fights back against the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Alessandro Migliorini.
