The Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy this week announced announced the election of Prof. Radoslav Nakov and Prof. Stefka Pristavova as chairmen of two of the standing committees of the Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy.

Prof. Radoslav Nakov will head the Committee on Geothermal Science and Innovation, which aims to monitor and analyze modern technologies, developments and innovations in scientific and applied research environments dealing with research and extraction of geothermal energy, as well as to coordinate the work of expert teams dealing with the reassessment of the geothermal potential of Bulgaria and detailing of primary areas for research and development.
 
Prof. Stefka Pristavova, holds the position of Chairman of the Committee on European and International Projects and Cooperation with a focus on active cooperation and collaboration between BAGE and European and International Geothermal Energy Associations, the European Commission, funds, programs, etc.
 
The newly established above-cited commissions compliment the previously established Committee for the "Legal and Commercial Framework in the Geothermal Sector", represented by Atty. Alexander Alexandrov, for analysis and proposals of good legislative practice and recommendations for changes in the legislation of our country in order to create a working and favorable environment for development and investment in geothermal energy.
