Description
The National Subsea Research Initiative (NSRI) is the research arm of Subsea UK. It has been set up to bring academia and industry together to collaborate on getting technology to market much more quickly. The NSRI aims to be the focal point for the co-ordination of research and development activities for the UK’s subsea oil and gas sector.

NSRI has recently launched the "NSRI Matchmaker", designed to pair your technology or innovation needs with the university or specialist research centre that can help you.

This resource is a starting point on which NSRI will build to make sure that it truly represents the entire industry and relevant research organisations; providing the best and most relevant contacts and collaborations needed to progress the development of new technology.

In tandem with the development of the Matchmaker service, NSRI has also developed Subsea Technology Advisory Groups (STAG). STAGs are tasked with creating a comprehensive, impartial, strategic vision for the UK subsea industry, including roadmaps for their specific research themes. In addition to identifying technology needs, the NSRI STAGs will fortify the UK's position as a world-leader in subsea.
