Brunei National Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd also known as PetroleumBRUNEI is Brunei Darussalam’s national oil company. PetroleumBRUNEI was incorporated on 14 January 2002, to realize and enhance the value of hydrocarbons of designated petroleum blocks to the country.
PetroleumBRUNEI is wholly-owned by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
PetroleumBRUNEI was granted all mineral rights to prime petroleum blocks in Brunei Darussalam, covering a total of approximately 21,000 sq. km. The deepwater offshore blocks are Blocks CA1 and CA2, shallow offshore blocks are Blocks N, P, Q, and B while the onshore blocks are Block L and M.
PetroleumBRUNEI is an active partner in the operation of two blocks via its upstream subsidiary, PB ExPro Sdn Bhd. PB ExPro offers its own expertise to the operators and partners in its 46% equity in Block A and 27.5% equity in Block B.
Exploration and potential development activities are actively being pursued in Block A. Meanwhile, Block B has been in production since 1999 and a new Maharaja Lela South (MLS) project is being executed to increase the production level to approximately 33,000 boe per day.
