History

In 1964, Allan P. Roberts and Thomas O. Allen delivered the first session of Production Operations 1. In the following decades, they turned Oil and Gas Consultants International (OGCI) into an industry leader in exploration and production technical training.

In 2001, the PetroSkills Alliance was founded by Shell, BP, and OGCI, with the mission of providing "important but not unique" competency-based training. Today, the Alliance is comprised of 30 Member companies representing more than 40% of the world's hydrocarbon production.

In 1968, John M. Campbell started delivering Gas Conditioning and Processing - G4, widely refered to as The Campbell Gas Course®, and considered by many to be the industry standard for Gas Processing training. As demand grew, John M. Campbell & Company expanded to cover topics for the entire oil and gas production, processing, and midstream industry.

In 2014, PetroSkills purchased Resource Development Company, LLC (RDC). RDC Solutions has a 50-year history of helping companies in the oil and gas industry meet compliance demands and withstand business challenges through a more knowledgeable workforce. RDC learning solutions -  including knowledge transfer through e-learning, learning management, performance support, and compliance information management -  are used in over 500 facilities worldwide.
