Longroad Energy is a Boston, MA-headquartered renewable energy developer focused on the development, ownership, and operation/asset management of wind and solar energy projects throughout North America.
Longroad Energy was founded in 2016 by the former executive team of First Wind Energy.
In October 2016, Longroad Energy secured significant investment backing from the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, a sovereign wealth fund, and Infratil Limited, a publicly traded energy and infrastructure investment company. These investors have deep experience in the renewable energy sector, a long-term horizon, and flexibility, providing Longroad Energy with a competitive advantage in the growing U.S. renewables market.
In addition to developing, financing, and constructing renewable energy projects, Longroad Energy provides operations and asset management services to wind and solar projects across the US. Longroad Energy has the ability to be the long-term operator and asset manager for the projects it develops or on behalf of third-party owners.
