Starting off with the name Daewoo Corporation in 1967, POSCO INTERNATIONAL has played a leading role in Korea’s economic development. As Daewoo Corporation changed its name to Daewoo Co., Ltd. in 1982, the company started to handle the trade business exclusively. Separated as an independent corporation with the name Daewoo International Co., Ltd. in 2000, POSCO mainly operate their business in the fields of international trade, development and management of infrastructure and resource development.

Energy
POSCO INTERNATIONAL is fully committed to the exploration, development, and production of natural gas and crude oil worldwide including the search for new opportunities, leveraging its track records and business capabilities in successfully operating three gas fields in Myanmar (Shwe Project). In addition, the company are consistently expanding their business across the Gas value chain, including liquefaction plants, LNG trading, bunkering, receiving terminals, pipelines, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
E&P
One of the key growth drivers of POSCO INTERNATIONAL lies in the exploration and production of oil and gas resources (E&P). The company was responsible for the entire E&P process from exploration and development to production and sales at its Myanmar Shwe Project, and is proactively participating in domestic and international E&P projects, including Block 11-2 in Vietnam, Block 8 in Peru, the Donghae-2 gas field in offshore Korea and evaluation studies in offshore Myanmar and Bangladesh.
