Idemitsu

Description

In 2007, Idemitsu integrated all energy and mineral recourse activities into one organization called the Energy and Mineral Resources Department (EMRD).

Idemitsu Oil & Gas company has a significant role in EMRD overseeing exploration and production of petroleum in their core areas located in the UK and Norway and other countries in Southeast Asia. 

Idemitsu is actively involved in upstream petroleum businesses all over the world in order to secure reliable energy supplies. Currently, the company produce 32,000 barrels of crude oil equivalent per day from six oil fields in their primary area, Norway. Idemitsu acquired oil and gas fields in the UK Central North Sea in November 2009.

In addition to their activities in Norway and UK, in Southeast Asia, Idemitsu have ongoing exploration projects in Vietnam, as well as another projects in the overlapping area between Thailand and Cambodia.
