Established in December 2016, the Asia Wind Energy Association is the leading industry association for the wind energy sector in Asia-Pacific.
The Asia Wind Energy Association acts as the regional platform for all wind power industry stakeholders to collectively promote the best interests of the wind power sector. Members include power project developers, turbine manufacturers, technical consultants, financial institutions, regional associations and other institutions in the wind energy sector.
The wind power industry is at a very nascent stage in Asia and there is a rapidly growing demand in the Asian wind energy sector. Acting as the industry representative, the Asia Wind Energy Association aims to capitalize on this opportunity. The association aims to develop and communicate conclusive policies to influence the decision-making process of the Asian governments to create a positive investment environment and enable greater deployment of wind energy in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Asia Wind Energy Association will be the central agency on wind energy issues for its members and will provide a platform to interact with wider constituencies by organizing monthly networking events and quarterly theme focused events.
