RockRose Energy

Description

RockRose Energy is registered in the United Kingdom and was formed in 2016 to pursue a targeted acquisition strategy focused initially on UK onshore and offshore oil and gas.

In September 2016, RockRose acquired non-operated interests in the Wytch Farm (7.43%), Scott (5.16%) and Telford (2.36%) fields from Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd.

Separately, Rockrose signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Egerton Energy Ventures including non-operated interests in the Galahad (27.80%) and Mordred (8.33%) gas fields located in the Southern North Sea.

In August 2017, RockRose entered into an agreement for the sale and purchase of the entire issued share capital of Sojitz Energy Project Limited from Sojitz Corporation.

The gas producing assets acquired include:

  • a 15% minority, non-operated interest in the Tors Field Unit Area, comprising two gas fields: the Kilmar Field and the Garrow Field, which are linked to the Trent Field in the Southern Gas Basin.
  • a 7.5% minority, non-operated interest in the Grove Field Unit Area located in part-block 49/10a and 49/9c in the Southern Gas Basin. The Grove Field delivers gas produced via the Dutch Markham complex.
  • a 10% minority, non-operated interest in the Seven Seas Field Unit Area, in the Southern Gas Basin, approximately 80 kilometres east of the Dimlington terminal.

In October 2017, RockRose signed a sale and purchase agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of Idemitsu Petroleum UK Limited from Idemitsu Kosan Co, Ltd.

In May 2018, RockRose Energy acquired the non-operated Netherlands gas and condensate producing assets of the Dyas group of companies.
