Skagen44 was founded in 2006 and has its main office in Skagen in the heart of Stavanger. The firm originated from the consulting company Future Exploration AS that was established three years earlier in November 2003.
Both through APA- and round applications the company is establishing a portfolio of non-operated licenses in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. The company has a clear focus on exploration on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
