Buried Hill was founded in 2002 to build an international oil and gas business. The management team is comprised of industry experts with a proven track record of delivering successful international ventures. The executive team has an average of 30 years industry experience in senior executive roles across a number of leading upstream and oil services companies including: Enterprise Oil, Shell, BP, Marathon, Petro-Canada, PetroKazakhstan and Schlumberger.

The Company’s head office is in Cyprus with the corporate, technical and finance teams in London, UK and an operations office in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

In November 2007, the Company signed a Production Sharing Agreement with the Government of Turkmenistan to explore for oil and gas in the Block III licence area of the Caspian Sea.

In 2008, Buried Hill established its operations office in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Since 2002, the Company has successfully raised more than $200 million in support of its projects from a wide range of international institutional, individual and retail investors. Buried Hill’s most recent fundraise was in 2012 and the Company is now fully financed through to production of its core asset. The Company’s strong financial position and strategy is supported by a stable international institutional investor base of long-term shareholders. The 20 largest shareholders own just over 85% of the shares outstanding and the Company has over 200 shareholders in total.
