UCO was formed in 2017 and has quickly established itself as a leading provider in underwater services to the Aquaculture, Offshore Energy & Construction markets, specialising in Remotely Operated Vehicle (“ROV”) and Underwater tooling. UCO is part of the Ocean Marine Group, with sister companies Pirie & Smith and ETPM Limited, providing wider access to specialists in various sectors to help support our client base. As an Innovator, Manufacturer and Equipment Operator, the company has  developed a portfolio of equipment, specifically aimed at providing a single source for meeting client needs, and exceeding expectations. From the Patented “Foover” Mortality recovery system to High Pressure cleaning systems, UCO gains an understanding of Client requirements, and develop working solutions to suit.

Oil & Gas

UCO are highly experienced in the Oil & Gas market, with the team having worked in the industry for over 30 years.

With personnel experienced in a range of  ROV disciplines, such as ROV Superintendents, Bridge Engineers, Shift Supervisors, ROV Supervisors, ROV Sub-Engineers, Pilot Technicians (Electrical or Mechanical) and Equipment Technicians (Electrical or Mechanical), UCO can perform in the knowledge of the various requirements across the range of project stakeholders, to ensure the project is executed in the best possible manner.

The UCO equipment is highly suited for deployment on O&G projects and from a range of vessels and platforms, including fixed and floating structures.

Renewables

UCO provide equipment and ROV services for a range of  aspects associated with the Renewable Energy Industry. Utilising their industry experience in Offshore Wind, Tidal and wave projects, the UCO team are well versed in the needs of the market.

The UCO ROV systems are compact units, capable of a wide range of activities subsea, including inspection, observation, cleaning and testing.

Deployable from a range of vessels, including CTV, workboats, SOV, Offshore Construction Vessels and other vessels of opportunity the ROVs can be mobilised in a short time frame, and deployed from a small crane.

Extending their capabilities, UCO hold an exclusive agency agreement for the provision of bespoke specification HP WaterJet pump systems, designed for use in the offshore / marine environment.

Aquaculture

The UCO team have been involved in Aquaculture from the early deployment of fish farms across Scotland. This experience is where the idea for the Foover evolved when diving in multiple cages. The establishment of UCO allowed the idea to be refined into the current patented system, which is in operation around multiple sites in Scotland and overseas regions.

The desire to improve the wider safety culture and increase the use of technology has allowed the evolution of UCO and industry as a whole, where ROV operations have reduced the need for diving.
