Description

GeoPark Limited is a Latin American oil and gas explorer, operator and consolidator with oil and gas assets and growth platforms in Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Perú and Argentina.

Since their founding, GeoPark has grown rapidly and continuously by exploiting the dynamic oil and gas business environment in Latin America. As one of the richest and most under-explored hydrocarbon regions in the world, Latin America provides a unique opportunity for a technically-capable, low-cost, exploration-oriented regionally-based operator.

The International Finance Corporation of the World Bank is a long term shareholder and lender to GeoPark. LG, the Korean conglomerate, has a strategic partnership with GeoPark to build a portfolio of upstream oil and gas assets throughout Latin America. LG is currently participating in GeoPark’s Chilean and Colombian projects. GeoPark is the first private oil and gas producer in Chile and is publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Production

Annual average 2020 production of 40,192 boepd compared to 40,046 boepd in 2019. Oil and gas production in 4Q 2020 decreased by 6% to 39,304 boepd from 41,786 boepd in 4Q2019, due to limited drilling and maintenance activities in Colombia, Chile and Argentina and lower gas demand in Brazil, partially offset by the addition of production from the Amerisur acquisition in Colombia. Oil represented 85% of total reported production in 4Q2020 and 4Q2019.
