Recognising the relentless challenges facing operators to maintain full production and extend the life of mature assets, KCI offers a range of unique products and services specifically designed to reduce costs and minimise downtime, whilst maintaining or increasing production across: sub sea, surface, refinery, down hole, topside pipeline and other applications. 

Within its chemical engineering range KCI leak sealing solutions and isolation gel have enabled operators to achieve substantial savings across a range of maintenance, integrity and production issues: quickly, safely and cost effectively, with a high level of sustained success and little or no disruption to production. KCI solutions / isolations can be temporary (short term) or permanent, depending on operational requirements. 

KCI also offers a range of easy-to-apply silicone based coatings to protect new and ageing structures and equipment against moisture, corrosion or erosion in mild and hazardous environmental or climatic conditions: internal, external, surface or sub sea.

Key solutions

Wellhead Seal Isolations
KCI uses Mac-Seal and MS-Sealant to reduce production deferments. Both are two part, time activated products but MS-Sealant is specially designed for hotter climates.

Gate Valve Isolations
KCI uses one part product Mac-Pac to fix damaged Seats or Gates or leaking stem seals to prevent loss of barriers and subsequently intervention downtime.

Control Line Plugging
KCI uses Mac-Seal and MS-Sealant for Control Line Plugging in order to reduce rig time and increase safety when pulling completions.

Control Line Leak Repair
KCI uses IG-FP, a one part, pre-cured sealant, that is pumped into the control line surface to isolate control line leaks and reinstate production.

Packer and Casing Shoe Isolations
KCI uses IG and IG-H for packer isolations. IG-H is specially engineered in Aberdeen to isolate leaks in deep-set Production Packers where the integrity has been lost & Well pressure or fluids are building. Avoids costly workovers.

Pipeline and Process Valve Isolations
KCI uses IG-L, a time activated Gel which is deployed as a fluid and converts to a solid material to re-establish pressure retaining barriers. Helps to minimise downtime and reinstate valuable production safely and efficiently.

Anti-Corrosion
KCI uses MHS-Protect/MD-Sealant, a two part, low prep product, and MS-Pac, a one part non-curing filler to reduce downtime when removing nuts and bolts.
