Blackwatch Petroleum Services Limited was founded in 1994 by a group of Reservoir and Petroleum Engineers who formerly worked for a major international operating company.

Since 1994 the company has grown significantly and established an enviable international reputation for the high standard of their work. With offices in Aberdeen, London and Houston and a multinational staff, including professionals from Iran, the UAE and Russia, Blackwatch personnel have experience of most of the hydrocarbon producing provinces of the world.

Integrated Field Studies
Whether it is a mature asset or an exploration prospect, Blackwatch are able to conduct integrated field studies combining all aspects of sub-surface Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering and Petrophysics to provide the client with an optimum field development plan for their asset. The company have a proven track record of adding value to complex and challenging reservoirs.

Reservoir Engineering
Blackwatch engineers have a wide variety of experience on many different reservoir types throughout the world, from clastic reservoirs to complex fractured carbonate reservoirs, from heavy oils through to gas condensate. The company have experience working on reservoirs in the Middle East, South America, West Africa, North Africa, Australia, FSU, South-East Asia, North America and the North Sea.

Well Operations & Testing
Blackwatch has expertise in conducting a wide range of international well operations. From the Tundra of Northern Russia to the deserts of North Africa, and from south-east Asia to the deepwater of the west of Shetlands. The company have conducted well testing operations from semi-submersibles, jack-ups, drill ships, and production platforms. For all well operations, from complex well testing through to routine wireline and data acquisition Blackwatch are able to provide a complete service. From conceptual pre-planning and setting of objectives, tender evaluation and contractor selection, through to wellsite supervision, post-well reporting and data analysis.

Petrophysiscs
Blackwatch's Petrophysicists have considerable expertise in evaluating data from across the globe. From one well detailed analysis of modern North Sea logs, to field-wide studies of Russian data, from analysing tight carbonates in the UK Southern gas basin, to evaluating high porosity sandstones in the Caribbean, the company's Petrophysicists provide quick and reliable results for their clients.
