Extensive experience in the oil & gas industry, investment banking and project management in multiple international transactions in the UK, USA and various African countries, enables Redcliff Energy Advisors to support and assist clients in the identification, structuring and management of complex transactions.
Founder and director of Redcliff, Michael Humphries, has over 30 years’ experience as a business development executive in the international oil & gas industry, a senior oil & gas investment banker and as a company director. He began his career in 1982 in the international division of Britoil Plc before moving into investment banking with Samuel Montagu & Co in London and New York, Rothschild and Ferris Baker Watts in Washington DC.
From 2007 to 2014 Michael ran his own consulting firm advising and managing on a broad range of international upstream oil & gas transactions. In late 2014 he was recruited by Rand Merchant Bank to establish an oil & gas advisory business based in London. In January 2019, after advising on several high profile sub-Saharan Africa transactions and having successfully built the team and the oil & gas advisory practice, Michael left to re-establish Redcliff.
At Redcliff, Michael is supported by a highly skilled project manager and technical consultants.
