Vroon operates and manages a diverse fleet of approximately 150 vessels. All operations meet stringent safety and environmental requirements and the company's vessels follow rigorous maintenance programmes.

With headquarters located in Breda (the Netherlands), the company employs about 3,000 professionals in offices around the world. Vroon is active - through various subsidiaries and under different brand names - in the following business segments: livestock carriers; offshore-support vessels; offshore maintenance and engineering services; dry-cargo vessels; container vessels; product tankers; high-heat tankers; car carriers and vessel-management services.

Founded in 1890, the company originally exported agricultural products to England, France and Belgium while importing coal into the Netherlands. However, after World War II the company recognised the opportunities in transportation and changed its focus from trading commodities to owning and managing vessels.
