Naftogaz

Description

Naftogaz Ukrainy is the state company of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine with responsibility for extraction, transportation, and refinement of natural gas and crude oil. The company is also active in Egypt and in the United Arab Emirates.

Naftogaz is a vertically integrated oil and gas company engaged in full cycle of operations in gas and oil field exploration and development, production and exploratory drilling, gas and oil transport and storage, supply of natural gas and LPG to consumers. Over 90% of the oil and gas in Ukraine is produced by the enterprises of the Company.

Naftogaz`s subsidiary Ukrgazvydobuvannya and subordinate companies Ukrnafta and Chornomornaftogaz produce 97% of domestic natural gas and 96% of domestic crude oil and condensate. Chornomornaftogaz extracts oil and gas in Crimea on the Black and Azov Sea shelves, while Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Ukrnafta operate on land. Ukrnafta itself, a 50% state-owned company, is the largest oil producer in Ukraine (94% of domestic oil production.)
